About the Role
Williams Protection Firm is seeking highly alert and dependable Armed Security Guards to protect personnel, property, and assets across a variety of client environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent situational awareness, professionalism, and a strong understanding of threat mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or in vehicle to ensure safety and security of premises.
- Deter criminal activity and respond to incidents including disturbances, trespassing, or emergencies.
- Monitor access control points and verify the identity of individuals entering secured areas.
- Respond to alarms, investigate suspicious activities, and report findings promptly.
- Maintain a visible, armed presence while enforcing client-specific protocols and local laws.
- Prepare and submit detailed incident and shift reports.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel during incidents.
- Escort personnel and visitors to and from designated areas safely, if needed.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and perimeter checks when assigned.
- Follow all company, client, and legal policies regarding firearm safety and use of force.
Working Conditions:
- Variable schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays depending on client needs.
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Standing, walking, or patrolling for extended periods.
Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Valid Michigan CPL (Concealed Pistol License)
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Reliable transportation
Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
Professional demeanor and appearance at all times
